1 Who We Are

CITE8, Inc., a Georgia corporation (“Cite8,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates the website located at cite8.ai and all associated subdomains, mobile applications, APIs, and services (collectively, the “Platform”). We provide AI-assisted legal document preparation tools and attorney referral services to individuals and businesses.

3 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

We do not use your legal intake information or document content to train AI models in a way that could identify you personally without your explicit consent.

4 Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

With Attorneys: When you request attorney services, we share relevant case information with the attorney you engage.
Service Providers: We share data with vendors who help operate the Platform (cloud hosting, payment processing, email/SMS delivery, analytics). These parties are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CITE8, Inc. or others.
Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you of any change in data ownership.
Aggregated / De-identified Data: We may share aggregated, anonymized data that cannot reasonably identify you.

5 Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. We may retain certain information for longer periods where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements. Deleted documents are soft-deleted and permanently purged from our systems after 30 days.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at privacy@cite8.ai. Certain records (payment history, attorney communications) may be retained as required by applicable law and professional regulations.

6 Your Rights — California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

Right to Know: You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.
Right to Opt Out of Sale / Sharing: We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

10 Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided personal information, we will promptly delete it.
